A journey to India through spirituality, yoga, cultures, art and peoples.
We visited old Delhi with its wonderful buildings of the Mughal period, the crowded streets, the markets, the colors, the smell of spices.
We went down the banks of the Ganges, starting from Rishikesh, on the slopes of the Himalayas, home to historic Ashrams where we stayed and practiced yoga following the rhythms and rituals of those who chose the path of yoga.
We witnessed the Ganga Aarti (the ritual on the banks of the Ganges) in Rishikesh, Haridwar, Allahabad, all sacred places and Hindu pilgrimage destinations. Then Varanasi, the holy city, with a magical atmosphere, shrouded in the early morning fog, the moment of purification through the ablutions of the waters of the sacred river. We got to know the spirituality of gestures, prayers, images and symbols.
Then we visited places sacred to Buddhism, Bodhgaya where the Buddha achieved enlightenment and Sarnath where the Buddha gave the first sermon on the four noble truths, a truly peaceful place.
Finally we moved to Calcutta between the multitude of its inhabitants, the wonderful flower market, and the colonial buildings and lots of vitality.
All supported by yoga practice and so much harmony and lightness that was created among the participants.
A journey full of emotions and experiences, of those that change the way of seeing life.
